Thanksgiving Greetings From Birder
Posted on November 26th, 2009 No commentsThanksgiving Holiday in America
This time of traditional giving thanks and sharing (AND football) with families began in the 1600′s when the Pilgrims were so grateful to have survived their first year as colonists in the New World. Did you know that more than half of them died in that first year?
1863The autumn harvest is a grand time for an annual feast. It was President Abraham Lincoln who declared Thanksgiving as a national holiday in 1863.
Be grateful and share your thanks -giving with someone. An Attitude of Gratitude goes a long way and makes you a better leader too.
I love to go for a birdwatching walk with a family member or two to stroll off some of the extra turkey and stuffing and pumpkin pie that we ate.

Pacific Northwest Coast Bird Guide
Posted on September 24th, 2009 2 commentsHere is the Pacific Northwest Coast Bird Guide
I mentioned in the Tufted Puffin post.
I am not familiar with the authors but this is one of Amazon’s books that you can look inside from online. I really like that feature. Take a tour with the Birds of the Pacific Northwest Coast Guide. Have fun.
